Vacation Bible School (VBS) will be the

Week of July 23 – July 27, 2012 (9 a.m. to noon)

This year’s theme “Babylon”, is presented by First United Methodist Church of Farmington and Salem United Church of Christ.

VBS is for kids ages 4 – 5th or 6th grades

This year, VBS will be held at First United Methodist Church of Farmington.

We will be having one worship service during the summer.  The one worship service begins June 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. The one worship service will run through Sunday, September 2, 2012.  On September 9, 2012 we will return to two worship services, 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.  Blessings.

Be sure to attend the 9:30 a.m. service as Pastor Bob will confirm 12 of our youth into the United Methodist Church.  This is a very excited time and blessing for the church family.  The classes have been educational, fun, humbling, faith filled and that is just from the standpoint of the leaders.  Come and celebrate this day with our newest members.

Our next Women’s Retreat will be May 10-11, 2013.  Yes, 2013 is the next availability to travel to Lake Huron Retreat Center.  The reason for the announce now is to have you put the date on your calendar and to possibly assist with the cost of the trip by paying through the year rather than all at once.  The Center has had an increase in prices, one of them is the reservation fee which is $300.00 for 20 ladies.  This fee must be made in advance and will secure our spot in Littleton Lodge.  If you would like to reserve a spot please make a check payable to the church in the amount of $15.00 and feel free to provide payments to me through the year.  Looking forward to spending spiritual time with you.  See Sherry Young.

Subject and content of retreat not yet determine but whatever it may be it will bless your journey with God and the women you encounter.

Drivers Needed – Are you looking for a way to help others?  Here’s a solution for you. Volunteer Call Receiver Needed - It’s recruiting time again! Have you ever thought about joining the Support Ministry Team! Well, there is an opening for you. A volunteer call receiver position has just become available. The job description would require you to make two phone calls once a week from your own home and follow up on any request.
