Opening Prayer (Unison):

     God, who has breathed life into each of us, we have gathered to be refreshed by your presence and challenged by your word.

     Help us to empty ourselves of all the things that compete with you for our attention.

     Help us to offer the very best of ourselves as we worship you this day.  Hear our prayer, oh Lord.  Amen.

     Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

     Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

     Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.

     And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
