May 5 – Ascension Day

The word love is thrown around a lot. We say we love a movie, book, car, or certain food. But is that really love? Please read John 13-31-35 and join us as Pastor Bob shares what Jesus has to say about love for him and each other. Holy Communion will also be celebrated.

May 12 – 7th Sunday of Easter

What causes you to worry? What scares you? What troubles your heart? You should read John 14:23-29 as Pastor Bob relates about God’s provision and continuing presence that has the power and ability to give us peace.

May 19 – Pentecost – Laity Sunday

Once again we walk the road to Emmaus. Why you may ask? The answer is relatively simple. There were doubters and those who were not sure that the stories of Jesus coming back were true. As two men were walking on the road to Emmaus from Jerusalem, they encountered a stranger who joined them on their walk. They were surprised that the stranger did not know of the things that had happened in Jerusalem. When they reached their destination and broke bread their eyes were opened to who the stranger was. Come and hear testimony from some of the travelers. Read Luke 24:13-35 and put yourself on the road to Emmaus.

May 26 – Trinity Sunday

According to Forrest Gump, his momma always said, “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” While that may be true, life is also like a line of falling dominoes with each experience affecting everything that follows it. Please read Romans 5:1-5 as Pastor Bob talks about the domino effect active in the development of our faith.
