Worship Schedule
Worship Service Times and Descriptions
January 2 – Epiphany Sunday
Everyone desires to be loved. We are infatuated with love, yet at times we find it so difficult to forgive our own brothers and sisters; whether it is family or church. Please read 1 John: 4:16-21 as Sherry Young shares what God says about loving your brothers and sisters of faith.
January 9 – 1st Sunday after Epiphany
When God asked the question, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for me?”, Isaiah responded, “Here I am; send me!” Please read Isaiah 6:1-8 as we commission our Katrina Mission Team and Pastor Bob explores how we might each answer God’s question. Holy Communion will also be celebrated today.
January 16 – 2nd Sunday after Epiphany
Has Jesus ever called you to walk to him on the water? John Ortberg says, “If you want to walk on water, you’ve got to get out of the boat.” That may be the most difficult step. Please read Matthew 14:22-33 as Rev. Carolyn Wik speaks about her work with the prison ministry.
January 23 – 3rd Sunday after Epiphany
Jesus said to Peter and Andrew, “Come and I will make you fish for people.” Please read Matthew 4:12-23 as Roger Young challenges us all to become fishers for people.
January 30 – 4th Sunday after Epiphany
How do we open ourselves to God’s presence? How do we discover God’s purpose and desires for us? And how do we navigate our way through the secular world of clouded moral boundaries? Today begins a sermon series called DRIVE for Life which deals with those questions. Please read Psalms 121 &123 as Pastor Bob talks about Devotion to God.
