Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer will join the congregation of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church for virtual worship service, this Sunday, January 24, starting at 10:30 a.m. During the service, Gov. Whitmer will share details about her plans to ensure all Michigan residents have access to the COVID 19 vaccine as well as the importance of the vaccine for safely opening Michigan. You are invited to join this service, which will also include a special sermon by Bishop David Alan Bard, presiding bishop of the Michigan Area.
Additionally, the State of Michigan will host a series of virtual town halls about the COVID-19 vaccine through Facebook Live on the MDHHS Facebook page. Residents will have the opportunity to hear from health and faith leaders about the safety, efficacy, and importance of the COVID-19 vaccine for safely opening Michigan. The first virtual discussion is 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 21.
